Window Marker Bible Memory Verses

Recently we were inspired by some friends with a fun way they practice memory verses as a family. We had been to their house many times, and I loved the idea. They write out their Bible verses on the glass of their sliding door to their back porch that sits by the kitchen table. At first it didn’t even register to me that our kitchen table also happened to sit by a glass sliding door. Light bulb moment!!

The idea is that this is an area you are regularly at in your home and seeing it right on the window is a great reminder to read scripture, and to practice having it as a regular part of your day as a family. This makes me think of the Shema and the call to God’s people to talk about his ways in their coming and going and it even talks about writing them on the structures of their home! (Deuteronomy 6:4-8 ESV)

This project is easy clean up, low cost (free once you have a set of window markers*), and accessible for many, as so many families often have kitchens that are next to a patio or walk out in both homes and apartments!

Check out my free printable below, “10 Bible Verses to Memorize as a Family,” you can use and get started right now in your home!
