We love to read books around our house, and don’t really do much screen time. Below are some of the books we’re reading this October! I wasn’t ahead of the game enough this month to get any autumn books from the library yet, but we’ve been visiting a local orchard lately, so tractors felt like they fit the vibe for October. And don’t forget you can check out your library for these too-we check out lots of books from the library and won’t always own the books we share about. We hope you join us-and happy reading!

Our God* by Danielle Hitchen
This book is a super cute book, that goes over shapes, and has creative pictures made out of those shapes and encorporates a Bible verse for each one. It’s part of a series called Baby Believer, and we especially love the Psalm 23* book too!

Green Tractor* by Kirsten Hamilton
This book came as part of Dolly Parton’s reading program, and our son loves it as it looks like a John Deere, and as you will see from our October lineup of books here, tractors are a big theme lately. In the story, you follow a mom and her two kids as they prepare their farm with their tractor for a visiting field trip.

You Are Special* by Max Lucado
One of my favorite childhood books. A wood maker has a conversation with one of his creations, and explains to him that only what he, their creator, thinks of them is what matters, not what anyone else in their town deems worthy.

10 Little Tractors* by Annie Bailey
An adorable little counting book, which actually counts backwards, as each little tractor leaves the group for one reason. Rhyming through the story, all 10 tractors are re-united at the end. We also love 10 Little Excavators*.

Around the Farm* by Eric Carle
We don’t love toys or books with lots of lights and sounds, but on occassion they are fun, like this little book, which I believe we were gifted for our son’s 2nd birthday. In Eric Carle style imagery, children learn about, you guessed it, some animals and creatures you might see on a farm.
