Make Money Christmas Shopping with Cash Back Using the Rakuten App

Now, I promise I have money saving ideas that are not apps, but I’m on a roll lately with sharing about these easy ways to make or save money doing things you are already doing. And as a busy mama I am all for getting rewarded without having to do extra work. In October we learned about submitting both your digital and regular receipts to Fetch App (you can read that post here.) Last month we looked at apps that give cash back at the gas station in my post on Upside here. Now, let’s chat about Rakuten. This isn’t a new thing by any means, but Christmas time might be a prime time to use it.

Rakuten is a website that tracks your shopping and offers cash back of different percentages at various retailers. You use their browser online or via app to select the store you want to shop with before making your purchases, and then continue shopping like normal, but now get cash back! Plus use my referral code here, and get $30 for signing up after you spend $30 in your first 90 days*. What a win?!!

Retailers like Under Armor, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Macy’s, even Walmart and Target are a part. There’s even travel like Expedia or car rental. (Pro tip-make sure you actually add the items to your cart after you open Rakuten, sometimes having items in your cart before doesn’t apply with certain apps or programs).

My guess is there is someone on your Christmas shopping list this year that you will likely find at least one store you will shop at, so might as well get cash back while you shop. Now, what will you save your Cash Back for?
