Remember the simple and fun leaf rubbing you used to make as kids? Have you made one in a while? Let’s do it. I love this activity as it motivates you to both get outside and be creative. I have to admit watching kiddos take wrappers off crayons can sometimes make me cringe (why is that a pet peeve?), but there are plenty of ways to be creative with those crayons and think of ways to use them in projects!

Supplies needed:

leaves

  1. All you need to do is go outside, grab some leaves-keep it simple, maybe find two different kinds. You can talk about the different shapes and the different trees.

  2. Then put the leaf under the paper on a flat surface with paper on top.

  3. Take wrapper off of crayon, lay crayon flat on paper over leaf, and rub until the texture of the leaf imprints on the paper.

  4. Move leaf around and change colors for beautiful art work!!

That’s it you just did a fun fall project that wasn’t overly complicated or require any prep! Good job mama.
